Robert A. Machson, Esq.
Director, General Counsel
Bob started representing retailers in 1991 as outside counsel to the Melville Corporation and came to the attention of many retailers as lead counsel on behalf of more than 80 Melville-Division stores in litigation with the Pyramid Partnerships. He has since counseled national chain retailers and restaurants in connection with all facets of the real estate relationship, from negotiating and drafting ground, strip, and shopping center leases to overseeing operating and energy cost audits and related litigation. Bob is a charter member of the National Retail Tenants Association NRTA) and is a member of its Board of Governors. He regularly teaches seminars and workshops and has written extensively and been frequently interviewed concerning retail law issues in national trade periodicals and journals, including Shopping Center World, Chain Store Age, Commercial Leasing Law and Strategy, Retail Law Strategist, Tenants In-Common, and Shopping Centers Today. Past and current clients include CVS, Best Buy Stores, LensCrafters, Lowe’s, Office Depot, RadioShack, Friendly Ice Cream, Borders Group, PacSun, American Eagle Outfitters, GNC, Wilsons The Leather Experts, Bombay, American Greetings, Retail Brand Alliance, Shoe Show, Brown Shoe, Zale and Aéropostale.
Gerald A. King, CSM
Director
Gerald "Jerry" King is the CEO of the national consulting firm Rent Research Consultants, Inc., which he formed in 1996. Prior to forming Rent Research Consultants, he was employed as Vice President for Commercial Properties of a national real estate management and development firm. Mr. King holds the CSM designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), has served as a Massachusetts State Housing Commissioner and currently serves on the Curriculum and Technology Committees as well as the Board of Governors of the National Retail Tenants Association (NRTA). He has lectured on commercial lease negotiation techniques and real estate management concepts for the ICSC, National Builders Association, the NRTA and a number of Fortune 500 companies. Past and current clients include Office Depot, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, Darden Restaurants, Dollar General Corporation and JC Penney.
Pamela R. Myers
Director, Audit Services
Pamela Myers has over 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with focus on retail, office and industrial auditing. Prior to joining Total Occupancy Solutions, Pamela was employed by GNC and Foot Locker as Manager of Accounting as well as a lease auditor. She has directed and performed landlord portfolio audits and achieved millions of dollars in recoveries and resolutions, has extensive experience with re-negotiating lease terms to achieve reduced operating costs. Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Myers is a member of the NRTA and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Lisa Brandt
Audit Manager
Lisa Brandt acts as the “hub” of Total Occupancy Solutions, coordinating information flow and communications between and among auditors, clients, and Landlords. As part of her responsibilities, Lisa gathers and prepares client and landlord data to be used by TOS auditors and insures that information needed from landlords is quickly and completely provided. In this way, TOS’s audit and legal staff can focus on what they do best - providing swift and fair settlements of occupancy cost disputes.
Lisa is also responsible for maintaining the Total Occupancy Solutions Extranet site, a unique web-based service that provides clients with real-time information on the progress of each of their audits.
